No - I didn't get to meet her. The cruise came to Boston a day early :(
I preferred Middlesex, too, I think. I thought the Time Traveller's Wife was TOO sad at the end - I'd never recommend it to anyone just for that!
I'm about to start the new Harry Potter. Did you read Kite Runner? That's the next on my list. If you're into philosophy, I'd recommend Sophie's World, which is quite interesting...My partner is reading that new vampire book, and likes it a lot. I can't remember the name - the Historian?? Let me know what you decide!
